Hi. Thank you for reaching out. Those are great questions. For sending the photo to us, you will have an option to upload the photo when you go through the order process. If you get stuck, or forget to upload the photo, you can always send it to us at service@mainelyurns.com. Just put your order number in the subject line. You can also add notes in the email about having gold text instead of white or black. There is also an "Order Notes" open text box on the last page of the order form, after you add your shipping address. I hope this helps.
