Great question! Our Engraved Rectangular Nameplate is made from acrylic with a UV coating, it is durable but not ideal for outdoor use. While it withstands elements for years, it may not last decades. For outdoor durability, consider a metal brass or coated steel plate. Cast bronze is the best option but $$$$. If you're concerned about longevity, especially for an exterior application, opting for a material more suited to outdoor conditions is advisable. - Michael
